TV serials from the stables of her production house continue to engage viewers across the subcontinent. Never mind what the critics say, there’s no denying that Ekta Kapoor, creative director of Balaji Telefilms, influences what people watch.
She is on a list of the ‘Most Influential South Asian Women Executives in the Media and Entertainment Industry’. The list was put together by Korn/Ferry International.

In announcing the release of the list, Bill Simon, senior client partner and managing director of Korn/Ferry International's Global Media & Entertainment Sector, said, "This past year has seen a substantial growth in Indian companies in Hollywood. Indian entertainment is no longer a niche industry, but a burgeoning global business that has expanded into the mainstream.
