September 26, 2009 |15:10 | Serials | Tv news  By : Team X

SizzleTV Weekend edition: TVs favorite serial killer is backOn Sunday, one of TV’s best shows is back for a fourth season. Dexter, starring Emmy-nominated Michael C.

Hall (who should have won this year), is by far the best drama involving murder or policemen on television. Forget CSI, Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, Law and Order etc.

No show compares to Dexter in each and every aspect that makes a show worth watching and successful.

Some may say that last season didn’t live up to the almost impossible standards set by the first two seasons, but that’s like saying a team who wins the Stanley Cup for the third year in a row didn’t play as well as they had in the previous two years.

Monday's TV: Spooks

April 6, 2009 |12:10 | Serials  By : Team X

This series of Spooks will stick with the same plot line through all 10 episodes for the first time. Whether they will be able to maintain the pace of this season opener, however, remains to be seen.  The complex plot, which verges on farcical at times, centres around British-Iranian relations and attempts by some antisocial types to set a biological weapon loose in Britain.

Mondays TV Spooks

It then settles into the well-trodden path of a we-must-find-him-before-he-infects-the-rest-of-the-population race against time. There's no shortage of other cliches on offer either, with plenty of grim-faced men and women in darkened rooms making agonised life-and-death decisions about their operatives. Pure, high-quality hokum.

Living On The Coast- TVS, 7.30pm As host Julia Achilleos announces at the beginning of the show, this is a program about "people, places and their passions". And that is exactly what you get. It is obviously made on a shoestring and lacks the slickness of shows such as Sydney Weekender but more than makes up for that with its straightforward, innocent charm.
