McKagan, 46, performed a few concerts with the band, and worked on new material for its first album in seven years, but musical differences cut short his tenure.

"Hey we wanted to thank Duff for helping us write songs for our new record," the band said via email. "We love the songs we worked on with him -- and the gigs were a blast -- but musically we were all headed in different directions. From here Duff is off to work on his own stuff so we wish him all the best.

Leipheimer joins five-time Olympian George Hincapie (HIHN'-kuh-pee) and this year's top U.S. Tour de France finisher, Chris Horner, as among the participants in the Dempsey Challenge. Dempsey is from Buckfield, Maine. He plays neurosurgeon Dr. Derek Shepherd on the ABC series "Grey's Anatomy."

He launched the Challenge last year with a bike ride to raise money for the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. This year's event has been expanded to two days. There will be walking and running events Oct. 2 and bicycle rides through central Maine between 10 and 100 miles Oct. 3.

Crockett has previously worked on projects such as The Boondocks, Nick Cannon Presents Short Circuitz and Dance Flick.

Each episode of the program will feature sketches making fun of popular culture, including current television shows, movies, music videos, commercials and events. There will also be a lot of guest appearances on the show by some of today's most popular comedians and celebrities. As of right now there is no set date for the show's premiere.

The actor, 43, will be seen again on the FOX network, in his new, so far untitled comedy project. Foxx became well-known after starring on FOX’s In Living Color, which ran from 1990 to 1994, and consisted of others like the Wayans brothers, David Alan Grier, and Jim Carrey. According to MonstersandCritics.com, the FOX network picked up the show, which will be a primetime half-hour comedy sketch series. Oscar winner Foxx will be the new show’s executive producer. Comedian and actor Affion Crockett will star in the project, as well as serve as one of the show’s producers.

In addition to many other projects, Foxx is currently in pre-production for The Skank Robbers, a spin-off of a sketch from In Living Color, according to IMDB. Foxx won an Academy Award in 2005 for his performance in Ray, in which he portrayed blind singer Ray Charles. He has also won numerous other film awards.
